On Tuesday, the children in Primrose Class had some very special visitors. One of them was Florence Nightingale and the other was a modern-day nurse! They began their visit by doing a wonderful talk about life as a nurse for Florence and comparing this to life as a nurse now. The children asked some very thoughtful questions and gained lots of knowledge about both roles.
The room was then set up ready for the next part...
The children had the opportunity to try out being doctors and nurses on their teddies with the very special help of our visitors! This entailed looking at x-rays, taking blood pressures and temperatures, checking eye sights and ears and many, many bandages and plasters!
The children in Primrose Class had a fantastic time and we would like to say thank you to our incredible visitors!
