This morning when we came back in from playtime, the children were shocked to find that our classroom was a mess! There were books and toys thrown over the floor, tables and chairs tipped over and giant, sandy footprints on the floor! We looked for clues to help us decide what may have happened and the children found clumps of black hair and a bag labelled 'Sam's stuff'. Inside the bag was a map, apple, sandwich, sausage, mushroom, an angry monster and the book, Where the Wild Things Are. Together we labelled and sorted the objects into those that began with our sound of the day /m/ and those that didn't. After discussing the objects and the clues, the children decided that Sam must be a large animal or monster! We are looking forward to reading the story, Where The Wild things Are and wonder if Sam will pay us a visit again!
