This term our focus book has been 'Bringing the Rain to Kapiti Plain'. To support Understanding of the World development, we have been comparing African animals to animals found in England. Before our trip to Paignton Zoo, we came up with question to ask giraffe zoo Keeper, John. We had questions such as "what do they eat?" "why are their necks long?". After learning about giraffes in more detail, we came back to school to see if we could keep a giraffe as a pet and we came to the conclusion we could not! 

The children showed great listening skills during our wet day at the Zoo!
