In order to fully embrace our Geography Big Question of, 'What goes on at an airport and train station?', our hall was set up as an airport for today! The children bought in their hand luggage cases and were ready to board Kingsteignton School Airways! We went through the whole process of an airport including passport control (and why passports are important), baggage security and check-in before boarding the plane. We had flight snacks at the ready and we were able to get in lots of Geography knowledge as we took off on our journey to Australia! This included knowing our capital city, oceans and continents. The fact that the children said, 'can we get back on the plane?' as soon as it landed was enough for us to know that they had a ball!
