We have had such a fabulous day at Occombe Farm! We enjoyed planting peas and daffodil bulbs with Ethan; the pea plants we could bring home and the daffodils we planted there, which means we can visit them in the future! We learnt how to keep seeds healthy and dug up weeds using a garden fork and spade, before watering the plants. On our walk, we enjoyed feeding the goats and chickens, before going into the barn to cuddle guinea pigs, rabbits and petting a goat and lamb. The children loved playing outside on the hay bails at lunch time and riding the miniature tractors.

Our trip to Occombe farm really helped to enhance our Understanding of the World development!
